Tarot Cards

Tarot cards originated in Northern Italy during the 5th-century Italy in a game called "triumphs" ("tarots" in French). The traditional deck consists of two sets of cards, one having 22 pictures of the major arcana, such as the Fool, the Devil, Sun, the Hermit, etc. The other set is the minor arcana of 56 cards, consisting of kings or lords, queens or ladies, knights, knaves, swords, cups, coins and more.
